Corey Katz is a 26 year old, self-taught photographer from New Waterford, Nova Scotia. Over the past five years he’s established himself as one of the province’s most diverse young talents, as comfortable shooting weddings as he is panoramic landscapes or live rock bands.
Corey’s work has been displayed at exhibitions across Nova Scotia, including Cape Breton University, the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design, and the Nocturne Arts Festival. In 2010, Corey was one of only twenty-four visual artists from across the province to have work purchased for the Nova Scotia Art Bank.
Corey is a founding member of the Coastal Arts Initiative, an award-winning group for young and emerging artists from Cape Breton that has exhibited approximately 500 pieces of art by 50 young artists since 2007. He is also a juried member of the Cape Breton Centre of Craft and Design, where his work is available for purchase.
